Ginoblay BE | namur

house, electronic

When he was 12 years old, during a stay at the hospital, ginoblay heard for the first time "Inner city-Good life" on a radio show. This new sound from outer space should never leave his musical universe. As a teenager, Ginoblay is listening to 70' rock (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Queen, Neil Young...), but also house music and all kind of electronic music. With a friend, he begins to play at small parties and gets his first Technics in 94. Discovering the french touch and downtempo productions (The sound of Vienna), around 97, He gets more and more records, from broken beat to deep house. His musical influences were slowly moving to a solid mix between the happiness of house music, smoothness of deep house and the raw power of electro and minimal productions. One common root to all those influences: the groove, The endless quest of Ginoblay, as if it was the Holy Grail...His Groovy Quest gave him the opportunity of playing alongside a beautiful bunch of talented DJ's, like Paul Kalkbrenner, Sharam Jey, Spirit Catcher, Trish, Jack de Marseille, Optimo, Compuphonic, Cosy Mozzy, Pierre, Loulou Players, Stephen, Prinz, Dan and many more... In 2005, Ginoblay turned a new page of his musical adventure by producing his own tracks, attempting to translate his musical background into a very personnal vision of "what makes people dance". A first EP called "Bolchoï Booze" was released in august 2007 on the Berlin based Beautycase Rec label, another one followed up on Dataphonik Record, and third EP on Konsequenz Record has been playlisted by Miss Kittin in summer 2008.
