I'm Big In Japan BE
I'm Big in Japan is a dreamy, lovely and broken down folk from an itinerant singer songwriter (didier joseph jeanne van wambeke). The project is largely a solo affair with the help from jacques pironet serving as multi-tasking instrumentalist and producer.
The first e.p."he treats me like a ragdoll" (date of release March 2009 on indie label Ramirez records) showcases van wambeke knack for melody and glittering harmonies (Altamont we are love) and a taste for little perfect pop tunes (Each and everyday). Warm, semi acoustic interplay with harmonies so beautifully wrought and the vocals cut straight to the mixture of nostalgia (Captain fandango) and lost innocence, i'm big in japan first work is an artful elegant piece of music...So enjoy and see you on the road soon!
